Alison holds a Bachelor of Laws and is an Accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Australian Attorney-General's Department.

Alison has over ten years of legal experience in the areas of Family Law, Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Dispute Resolution and Community Legal Education. Alison values social justice and has worked on various access to justice projects to provide legal assistance to people in need.

Alison is child focused and holistic in her approach and draws on the resilience and strengths of the parties during the mediation process.

Alison has extensive experience working in Domestic and Family Violence in both legal proceedings and in family dispute resolution. Alison approaches her work with sensitivity, empathy and understanding and prioritizes her client's emotional and physical safety during the dispute resolution process. Alison has an understanding of the complex issues that can arise during the stages of separation and can support clients with safety planning, referral pathways and mediation preparation. Alison also offers alternatives to face to face mediation with virtual and shuttle mediations as an option.
